Rootsamala nace en otro siglo...concretamente en el 20. Al final de los 90 y después de cambiar de nombre y músicos unas cuantas veces, Ital Roots y posteriormente Amala Family Band, se crea Rootsamala.
A pesar de haber cambiado de banda a través de estos años, dos de sus miembros permanecieron fieles y estos son sus fundadores y hermanos Angelo y Raquel.
Aunque no es un miembro oficial de Rootsamala, esta claro que merece la pena mencionar a Iñaki Yarritu de BDF en la historia de Rootsamala, amigo leal y grandioso músico y productor. Iñaki ha producido casi todos lostrabajos de Rootsamala y los ha ayudado en el camino.
Los hermanos llegaron a España (Málaga) desde el Reino Unido en los 90, donde crecieron muy arraigado a la música reggae. Su música está claramente Influenciada al UK Roots Reggae de los 80.
Han participados en festivales importantes nacionales e internacionales, como grupo y como coros a artistas reconocidos dentro de la escena reggae.
Poseen más de 20 vinilos de sellos como Heartical, One in the Spirit, Sama Roots y New Exodus entre otros.
